Here is your early Christmas present everyone. My Air New Zealand flight from Auckland New Zealand to Norfolk Island (its an island north of New Zealand, but its part of Australia.) The flight took around 2 hours. The plane I used is an Air New Zealand 737-300. It has no virtural cockpit, but part from that, its a good little jet with realistic sounds. Enjoy!

It's a territory of Australia, but you'll need a passport to get there: Norfolk is an island divided as the Australian government prepares to take control out of the hands of the locals. While on holiday we went to watch an Air NZ plane take off. It was neat to see it so close.
This is how freight is handled "Norfolk Island" style.

On Wednesday 18th of November, a Medevac en route from Samoa to Melbourne made 3 landing attempts on Norfolk Island before ditching into the ocean off Headstone on Norfolk Island. Norfolk Islander volunteer firefighter Scott Greenwood spotted the crash location from the clifftop and informed the rescue party who were headed in the other direction due to the last known heading of the aircraft. Darren Bates and other rescuers picked up the six survivors and brought them to safety in the middle of night. This video contains interviews with Scott, Darren and others involved in the rescue.
An Air New Zealand A320-232 departs for Norfolk Island from Runway 25. This is the first time I've captured an Air New Zealand aircraft flying the Norfolk Island route since they took over the service from Norfolk Air. People living on Norfolk Island in the Pacific are accusing Australia of stealing their democracy. With the island in financial trouble, Australia's government is reasserting full control. It's dissolved Norfolk's legislative assembly and says, that on July 1st the island will become a full part of Australia: subject to its laws and tax.
